This journey together started in 1981 when we (Paul & Penny) were married. At the time we were living in Australia working, seeking God’s will, and realizing the dreams God had for our family. In the years to follow we changed tracks and started planting churches in Australia. The call to missions grew stronger in our lives and culminated in us doing our DTS with YWAM Surrey Hills, Victoria, Australia in 1991.
After completing our DTS we became active staff at the Surrey Hills base. After serving there for eight years our family finally made our way to Thailand. All six of us moved to Chiang Rai in northern Thailand in March 1999. Penny started a ministry caring for orphans and single mothers affected by HIV/AIDS. Paul became involved in leadership training with other mission organizations and local churches. Since 2005 Paul has also helped develop the international DTS at the base in Chiang Rai.
All of our children, Luke, Jaci, Zac, and Caleb have completed school at the Family Learning Centre here in Chiang Rai.
Family Learning Centre, (now known as CRICS, Chiang Rai International Christian School). Luke was the first-ever, high school graduate from that school, and graduated on his 18th birthday, Sept 28, 2001. Then Jaci graduated the very next year. Then Zac three years later and our family’s high school days were over (with our our own birth children) when Caleb graduated mid 2008.
Through these pages of this site you have the opportunity to join us in our journey. You can read past newsletters and see more of where we have been over the past years since we have arrived in Thailand. The journey has not always been easy but God has always been faithful. We are thankful to Him who is has blessed us so much and to our many friends and supporters who faithfully pray for us. Thank you for walking this road with us.
