Tough Decisions

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Dear friends,

I know it has been a while since you’ve heard an update and we haven’t really had a lot of news to share until now so that is why we haven’t written.

Caleb has been improving everyday, thanks for your prayers for him. His feet are still in plaster and still he is not weight-bearing but we will return to the specialist in Bangkok on July 6th to have another x-ray & hopefully then Caleb will get his pin out of his right foot and be able to get instruction on some more intensive physiotherapy to enable him to begin the process of walking again by about early August, we hope!

I have had tests in Melbourne at my oncologist and we would ask you to continue to pray for us, as we have found out that the cancer type I have now is an agressive form and we are faced with some pretty tough decisions. We need God’s wisdom and would value your prayers as this was unexpected (the aggressive form of cancer) and there are many things to be considered in making decisions about the best type of treatment to pursue. We desire to walk in the path God is leading so please pray we will hear clearly from the Lord as we ask Him day-by-day what to do. Our immediate plan is to return home to consolidate and pray with our children, as this affects them all in varied different ways.

We continue to trust God and are living in His peace, taking one day at a time, blessings to you, we are grateful to you for your prayers,
Penny
